How to sign your Idaho title when selling your vehicle

The registered owner of the vehicle should complete the following easy steps:
  1. Always, print (don’t sign) your name on the front of the title where it says “Seller’s or Representative’s printed name”
  2. Secondly, sign your name on the front of the title where it says “Seller’s or Representative’s signature”

How to get a duplicate title for my vehicle

If the vehicle was last titled in a state other than Idaho, you must apply for a duplicate title in the previous state in which the vehicle was last titled.
The registered owner of the vehicle should complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the Idaho Duplicate Title Form.
  2. You can choose to do one of the following options: Bring your duplicate title application to the Idaho DMV office, or, Mail your application and processing fee to the ID division of motor vehicles at:

Garden City ID 83714

Please note that your application must be notarized if sending by mail
The cost for a duplicate title is $14.00 with an additional $26.00 if expedited processing is required . (Paid to the ID division of motor vehicles).
